Baggage information

Baggage Allowance

Each passenger is entitled to check in up to 20 kg of baggage free of charge. This allowance also applies to children. We recommend not checking in single pieces of baggage heavier than 32 kg.

Excess Baggage

Baggage exceeding the allowed free baggage limit is subject to a fee.

Carry-On Baggage

For safety and comfort reasons, only one piece of carry-on baggage per person is allowed in the cabin. The carry-on baggage must not exceed 6 kg in weight (8 kg for laptops) and must fit within the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. It is recommended to carry valuables, medications, perishable, or fragile items in your carry-on baggage. Please refer to the liability limitations listed in your booking confirmation.

Excess Baggage Fee

The maximum allowable weight for your baggage is indicated on your flight ticket. Exceeding this limit constitutes excess baggage and incurs an additional fee. This fee is based on either the weight or piece concept, depending on the situation.

Baggage Damage and Loss

Most misplaced baggage is located within the first 24 hours. In rare cases, baggage may not be found within five days. If this happens, a more detailed search procedure is initiated by the Lost & Found office. If your baggage is still missing after five days or if you have any questions regarding misplaced baggage, please contact our Baggage Investigation Center in Bern immediately.
