Customs Control with Medications

When carrying medications and injection syringes (e.g., insulin syringes) in your carry-on luggage, it is advisable to have a medical certificate confirming their necessity for health reasons.

Loss of Medications

In case your medications are lost during the trip or in the destination country, have a list of your blood type and important health information, as well as the dosage and generic names of your medications, provided by your doctor. Additionally, you should carry all necessary documents for treatment or prescription issuance abroad. Consult your doctor or health insurance for this.

Medications in Carry-On Luggage

Pack your medications securely and distribute them across multiple carry-on bags if possible. It is recommended to bring one and a half to twice the expected amount, as flights can be diverted or significantly delayed.

Pregnant Women

Up to the 29th week of pregnancy, women with an uncomplicated pregnancy can travel without a medical certificate via FanFly Travel GmbH or directly at the check-in counter. From the 29th week of pregnancy, a special permit is required, which can only be issued by the family doctor or medical service. This also applies to complicated pregnancies, such as multiple pregnancies.
